I thought Toby Alone was excellent! I am looking forward to the book discussion.

We had a fun discussion–kids liked different things about each book. Many were interested in how the families in Toby Alone and Diary of a Wimpy Kid were the same as or different from their own families.

We had a discussion of the US Teen pick, The Adoration of Jenna Fox, at the Mount Prospect Public Library. We discussed topics like:
What are the differences between the Jenna before the accident compared to the Jenna after the accident?
Was it right for Jenna’s parents to recreate her?
If you were in an accident like Jenna, would you want to be recreated? What if you had no say in this decision?
We also discussed what we expected from Mary E. Pearson’s follow up novel, The Fox Inheritance, published this past August.
The Adoration of Jenna Fox was a great read and provided for a really good discussion!
